Biography
Dave Willock was an American character actor. Born in Chicago, he began his career in vaudeville in 1931 alongside Jack Carson. He made his screen debut in an uncredited role in Good Girls Go to Paris (1939) and appeared in numerous films and television series over five decades.
Willock wrote for and performed on The Jack Carson Show radio programme (1943–1949), playing the character Tugwell. He co-starred with Cliff Arquette in the short-lived television series Dave and Charley (1952). Among his film roles were parts in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939), Spellbound (1945) and It Came from Outer Space (1953). He is noted for playing Ray Hudson in What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962). Willock also provided the off-screen narration for the animated series Wacky Races (1968) and appeared in episodes of series including Bonanza, The Munsters and Green Acres.
