Biography
David A. Makin is a Canadian cinematographer and occasional director. His credits as director of photography include the television series Schitt's Creek (2020), What We Do in the Shadows (2021–2023), Sex/Life (2021–2023) and Cruel Intentions (2024), as well as additional photography on Hawkeye (2021). He has worked on numerous Disney Channel television films such as Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie (2009), Princess Protection Program (2009), Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010), Let It Shine (2012) and How to Build a Better Boy (2014). Earlier credits encompass Jump In! (2007) and second-unit work on Mickey Blue Eyes (1999). He has also directed episodes of Beauty and the Beast (2016) and Big Sound (2001).
