Biography
David Allen Cress is a producer based in Portland, Oregon. He is a founding partner of the independent film production studio Food Chain Films and has worked extensively in film, television and documentary production.
His credits include producer on the series Portlandia (2011–2018) and The Rehearsal (2022), as well as Paranoid Park (2007) and Shrill (2019–2021). He has also produced episodes of Documentary Now! and served as field producer on Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck (2015).
Cress has received five Primetime Emmy nominations. He has contributed to the Oregon film community through his production work and collaborations with directors including Gus Van Sant.
