Biography
David Anthony Higgins is an American actor and writer. Born on 9 December 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa, he began his career in comedy as a member of the troupe Don't Quit Your Day Job and later co-founded the Higgins Boys and Gruber, which had its own series on The Comedy Channel.
He gained wider recognition for his role as barista Joe on the sitcom Ellen (1994–1998). Higgins is best known for playing Craig Feldspar on Malcolm in the Middle (2000–2006), reprising the part in the 2026 miniseries Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair. Other television roles include Reginald Bitters on Big Time Rush (2009–2013) and Harry on Mike & Molly (2011–2016). He co-wrote the 1997 film The Wrong Guy.
Higgins is the brother of comedian Steve Higgins.
