David Backus is an American actor, also credited as David Backhaus. Born on 21 September 1977 in Sioux City, Iowa, he is based in Los Angeles.
His screen credits include the role of Laundry Customer in the 2003 film Gigli. He appeared in IOWA (2005) as Nick Slavens, Spider-Man 3 (2007) as Bucket Boy (uncredited), and Priest (2011) as Familiar. Television work encompasses episodes of Charmed (2003), ER (2003), 7th Heaven (2005) and The Shield (2002).
Backus is associated with the horror film The Orphan Killer (2011), in which he also served as associate producer.
