Biography
David Coverdale (born 22 September 1951) is an English singer and songwriter. He was the lead singer of Deep Purple from 1973 to 1976 and founded the hard rock band Whitesnake in 1978.
Coverdale appears uncredited as himself, identified as a Deep Purple singer, in the 1983 film Sans Soleil directed by Chris Marker.
