Biography
David Furnish is a Canadian filmmaker and producer. Born on 25 October 1962 in Toronto, he began his career in advertising after graduating from the University of Western Ontario. He later moved to London and worked at Ogilvy & Mather before entering film production.
He co-founded Rocket Pictures with Elton John. Furnish has produced films including It's a Boy Girl Thing (2006), Gnomeo & Juliet (2011), Sherlock Gnomes (2018) and Rocketman (2019). He also directed the documentary Elton John: Tantrums & Tiaras (1997) and served as executive producer on Billy Elliot: The Musical Live (2014).
Furnish is married to Elton John. He has worked extensively through their joint production company on music-related and animated projects.
