Biography
David Holmes is a Northern Irish composer, musician and producer. Born in Belfast in 1969, he began his career as a DJ and electronic musician before moving into film and television scoring in the late 1990s.
He composed the score for the BBC series London Spy (2015) with Keefus Ciancia, for which they received an Ivor Novello Award. Holmes is also known for his work on the film Mindhorn (2016) and for long-running collaborations with director Steven Soderbergh on films including Out of Sight (1998) and the Ocean’s trilogy.
His other credits include scores for The Fall (2013–2016), ’71 (2014), Killing Eve (2018–2022) and Logan Lucky (2017). He has won multiple awards, including Ivor Novello Awards and an IFTA for best score.
