Biography
David J. Eagle is a television director, producer and screenwriter. Born on 31 January 1954 in Staten Island, New York, he directed 13 episodes of the science fiction series Babylon 5 from 1995 to 1998.
He directed two episodes of Sliders in 1999 and worked on educational programming for young audiences. These credits include multiple episodes of the CBS Schoolbreak Special series between 1989 and 1996, for which he also served as producer and writer.
Eagle received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Children's Program for the 1994 CBS Schoolbreak Special episode "Kids Killing Kids", on which he worked as writer, director and producer. His direction of the Babylon 5 episode "Severed Dreams" formed part of the series' Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation.
