Biography
David Kaye is a Canadian actor and voice actor. Born on 14 October 1964 in Peterborough, Ontario, he began his career in radio and voice work in Vancouver before relocating to Los Angeles.
He is known for numerous voice roles in animation and video games, including Megatron in the Transformers series Beast Wars, Beast Machines, Armada, Energon and Cybertron; Optimus Prime in Transformers: Animated; Professor X in X-Men: Evolution; Sesshōmaru in Inuyasha; and Clank in the Ratchet & Clank series. His film credits include the Newsreel Announcer in Up (2009) and Arishem in Eternals (2021). He has also appeared in live-action roles such as in Happy Gilmore (1996) and serves as the announcer for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
