Biography
David Mar Stefansson is an Icelandic screenwriter and producer. Born in Lund, Sweden, he grew up in Reykjavík and began his career as a journalist for Morgunblaðið. He holds a BA in philosophy and creative writing from the University of Iceland and an MFA in screenwriting from Columbia University.
Stefansson made his television debut writing four episodes of the Netflix miniseries Katla (2021). He subsequently wrote for the third season of Trapped (2022). His credits also include an episode of the third season of Gangs of London (2025) and two episodes of the historical miniseries King & Conqueror (2025), on which he also served as associate producer.
