Biography
David McMillan is a writer and producer working in television, film and theatre. He wrote episodes of the Netflix limited series DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story (2022) and served as supervising producer; the series earned him a BAFTA TV Award for Best International Programme and an Emmy nomination.
His other television writing credits include episodes of Lucifer (2016), Sleepy Hollow (2014) and Dexter: New Blood (2021). He is executive producer and writer on the second season of the Monster anthology, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story (2024). McMillan studied English at Yale University and holds an MFA in Production from the University of Southern California, where he won the Jack Nicholson Screenwriting Prize. His play Watching O.J. (2015) received a Stage Raw Award for Best Achievement in Playwriting.
