Biography
David Tyron King, also credited as Ty King, is an American television writer and producer. Born in 1959 in Houston, Texas, he studied at the University of Texas and later moved to Los Angeles to work in television.
His credits as writer and producer include episodes of Family Ties (from 1987), Growing Pains, Newhart, Empty Nest, Hearts Afire, Parenthood and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. For the last of these he wrote the season-two episodes “Some Assembly Required” (1997) and “Passion” (1998).
He later wrote for the video games Guild Wars 2 (2012) and Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire (2017). King has lived in the Pacific Northwest since the early 1990s.
