Biography
De'Adre Aziza is an American actress and singer. She trained at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University after earlier study at the Harlem School of the Arts and the Dance Theater of Harlem.
She originated the roles of Edwina, Marianna and Sudabey in the Broadway musical Passing Strange (2008), for which she received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical and a Theatre World Award. Spike Lee filmed the production as Passing Strange (2009). Aziza returned to Broadway in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (2010).
Her screen credits include the film Miracle at St. Anna (2008) and television series such as 30 Rock (2012), Person of Interest (2014), The Good Wife, Elementary, The Sinner, Evil and Power Book II: Ghost.
