Biography
Dean Lorey is an American writer and producer. Born in Conyers, Georgia, he attended New York University's film school. He began his career writing screenplays for films including My Boyfriend's Back (1993), Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993) and Major Payne (1995).
Lorey has written for and produced several television series. His credits include My Wife and Kids (2001–2005), Arrested Development (2006, 2013), The Crazy Ones (2013–2014), Powerless (2017), iZombie (2018), Harley Quinn (2019–), Big Shot (2021–2022) and Creature Commandos (2024–). He co-created Harley Quinn and Big Shot, and has also written the children's book series Nightmare Academy.
