Biography
Dean Edward Mitzner was an American production designer and art director. He began in the art department as a set designer on films including The Day of the Locust (1975) before advancing to art direction and production design roles.
His feature credits include production design on Big Wednesday (1978), 1941 (1979), Nine to Five (1980), Looker (1981), Tron (1982) and The Man with One Red Shoe (1985). On television he served as production designer for series such as The Flash (1990), Homefront (1991–1993), Burke's Law (1994–1995), Savannah (1996–1997) and Charmed (1998–1999).
Mitzner received a Primetime Emmy Award for outstanding individual achievement in art direction for a series for Homefront (1993) and two further Emmy nominations.
