Biography
Deborah Davis is a British screenwriter and producer. She has a background in law and journalism, and holds an MA from the University of East Anglia.
Davis wrote the first draft of the screenplay for The Favourite (2018) in 1998. She is credited as writer and executive producer on the film, which was directed by Yorgos Lanthimos with additional writing by Tony McNamara. She also created and wrote the television series Marie Antoinette (2022).
The Favourite earned Davis a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and a win for the BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay.
