Biography
Deborah Geffner is an American actress, singer and dancer. Born on 26 August 1952 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she moved to New York at sixteen to train at the Juilliard School and later danced with the Stuttgart Ballet and the American Chamber Ballet.
She began her screen career in Bob Fosse's All That Jazz (1979) as Victoria, a role she took while performing as Kristine in the original Broadway production of A Chorus Line. She worked with Fosse again on Star 80 (1983) and has appeared in films including Exterminator 2 (1984), Under the Silver Lake (2018) and MaXXXine (2024) as Elaine Casting. Her television credits include guest roles in Grey's Anatomy (2005), Mad Men (2007), Criminal Minds (2005), American Horror Story (2011), How to Get Away with Murder (2014) and The Morning Show (2019).
Geffner has also directed short films, including Guitar Lessons (2009). She is a first cousin of actor Jeff Goldblum.
