Biography
Debra Shibuyama Simone, also credited as Debra F. Simone, Debra DeSilva and Debra Shibuyama Simone, is an American editor, director and writer. She has edited numerous television series, including ten episodes of Better Things (2017–2019), as well as episodes of Russian Doll, Bodkin, Generation, Mrs. Fletcher and Queer as Folk.
She trained in writing and character development at The Groundlings and Second City. Simone began her career in post-production before moving into editing on comedy series at Paramount. She has also directed the short film The More Things Change (2019) and the documentary Ascendance: The Angels of Change (2015), on which she also wrote.
