Biography
Deepak Sethi is a Canadian-American screenwriter, comedian, film director and voice actor. Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, he studied at the University of Western Ontario. He previously worked as a salesman for his family's ethnic food company while completing an MBA and writing a comedy blog.
Sethi began his screenwriting career on the animated series Family Guy (2011–2012), where he worked as a staff writer and received a writing credit on one episode. He has since written for Brickleberry (2012), Close Enough (2020), Apple & Onion (2018–2021) and Monsters at Work (2021–2024). He has also worked as a voice actor on Apple & Onion.
In 2020 Sethi wrote and directed the short film Coffee Shop Names, which was nominated for a Tribeca X award and acquired by HBO Max. He received an Annie Award nomination for writing in 2021.
