Biography
Deirdre Donnelly is an Irish actress of stage and screen. She trained at the Abbey Theatre School and University College Dublin, where she later completed a master's degree in Modern Drama Studies. A former company member of the Abbey Theatre, she has appeared in numerous stage productions since the early 1970s.
Donnelly is known for her television roles, including Kathy Peters in the RTÉ serial The Riordans (1975–1979) and Siobhan Mehigan in the BBC series Ballykissangel (1996–2001). She has had recurring parts in series such as Vikings: Valhalla, Fair City, Brassic and The Virtues (2019), in which she played Susan. Her film credits include A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man (1977), Cracks (2009) and Rialto (2019). She received an Irish Theatre Award nomination.
