Biography
Del Negro (1929–2015), also credited as Joseph N. Delnegro, was an American-Spanish actor and painter. Born Joseph Nicolas Antonio Del Negro in Manhattan, New York, he appeared in European films from the 1960s onwards.
He is known for playing Brother Gaspar de Carvajal in Werner Herzog's Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972). Other credits include Joy House (1964) as Mick, Who? (1974) as an FBI agent, and Summer Night Fever (1978). He lived in Deià, Mallorca, where he is buried, and also spent time in Bali.
