Biography
DeLane Matthews is an American actress. She was born on 7 August 1961 in Rockledge, Florida, and studied at Florida State University before joining the Kennedy Center/Juilliard School Acting Company. She began her career in theatre, appearing in Off-Broadway productions and touring shows.
Matthews is best known for her role as Beth Barry in the CBS sitcom Dave's World (1993–1997). She has guest-starred in numerous television series, including Murphy Brown (as Erma Bentley, 1989), Quantum Leap (1992), From the Earth to the Moon (1998), Diagnosis: Murder (2000), The Shield (2004), Cold Case (2003), Nip/Tuck (2004), Judging Amy (2004), Castle (2009) and Saving Grace (2007–2009). She also appeared in the soap opera General Hospital (2001–2003).
