Biography
Denis Akiyama was a Canadian actor and voice actor. He was born in Toronto, Ontario, and studied psychology at York University before training in acting at George Brown College.
He appeared in films including Dead Ringers (1988), Johnny Mnemonic (1995) as Shinji, The Pacifier (2005), Repo Men (2010), Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010) and Pixels (2015) as Professor Iwatani. His television credits include guest roles in Suits, Warehouse 13 and 12 Monkeys. Akiyama was also known for voice work in animated series such as X-Men (as Silver Samurai and Sunfire) and Sailor Moon (as Malachite).
He died in Toronto on 28 June 2018.
