Biography
Denise Bryer (5 January 1928 – 16 October 2021) was an English actress known for her voice work in television, film and radio.
She trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and began her professional career on BBC radio in 1947. Bryer provided voices for several Gerry Anderson puppet series, including the title role in The Adventures of Twizzle (1957), characters in Four Feather Falls (1960) and both Zelda and Captain Mary Falconer in Terrahawks (1983–1986). She also voiced Kiki the Frog in Hector’s House and the title character in the Noddy television series.
Bryer voiced Billina in Return to Oz (1985) and The Junk Lady in Labyrinth (1986). She was married to the actor and presenter Nicholas Parsons from 1954 until their divorce in 1989.
