Biography
Denise de Casabianca (also credited as Denise Casabianca or Denise de Casablanca) was a French film editor. She began her career as assistant editor on Rififi (1955) and went on to edit numerous features and shorts over five decades.
She collaborated with directors including Jacques Rivette, Barbet Schroeder (on six films), Jean Eustache (The Mother and the Whore, 1973), Patrice Chéreau (The Wounded Man, 1983; César nomination for Best Editing, 1984) and Raúl Ruiz (Time Regained, 1999). She was married to director Alain Cavalier and is the mother of filmmaker Camille de Casabianca.
