Biography
Denson Baker ACS NZCS is a cinematographer whose credits include Get Out (2017), for which he served as director of photography on reshoots; The Colour Room (2021); Ophelia (2018); Measure of a Man (2018); The Dark Horse (2014); Oranges and Sunshine (2010); and The Black Balloon (2008). His television work encompasses the series The Luminaries (2020), Domina (2021) and Victoria series II (2017).
Baker trained at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School, completing a Graduate Diploma in Cinematography in 2000. He was accredited by the Australian Cinematographers Society in 2005 and the New Zealand Cinematographers Society in 2015, and received the Australian Cinematographers Society Cinematographer of the Year award in 2021. He is married to director Claire McCarthy, with whom he has collaborated on several projects.
