Biography
Derek Holt is a British composer, songwriter and musician. A founder member of the Climax Blues Band, he played bass guitar and keyboards and wrote or co-wrote several of the band's hits, including "I Love You".
In 1992 Holt co-composed the score for the film One False Move with Pete Haycock; the music received a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Original Score. He has also written music for television, including the opening theme and incidental music for Star Wars: Droids (with Stewart Copeland) and Bill Bryson: Notes from a Small Island (1999). His songs have appeared in other films such as Zack and Miri Make a Porno (2008).
