Biography
Derek Nathanial Luke is an American actor born on 24 April 1974 in Jersey City, New Jersey. His feature film debut came in the title role of Antwone Fisher (2002), directed by Denzel Washington, for which he received the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead.
Luke is known for roles including Bobby Joe Hill in Glory Road (2006), Gabe Jones in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), and Kevin Porter in the series 13 Reasons Why (2017–2020). He has appeared in other films such as Definitely, Maybe (2008), Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (2012) and The Purge (2018). He has been married to actress Sophia Adella Luke since 1998.
