Biography
Desmin Borges is an American actor. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he grew up partly in Houston, Texas, before returning to Chicago to study at The Theatre School at DePaul University, where he earned a BFA in theatre.
Borges began his career in Chicago theatre. He originated the role of Mace in Kristoffer Diaz’s play The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity (2010), winning a Joseph Jefferson Award. He later appeared in the production in Los Angeles and Off-Broadway.
He is best known for playing Edgar Quintero, a veteran with PTSD, in the FX/FXX series You're the Worst (2014–2019). Other credits include Only Murders in the Building (2021–), Utopia (2020), Preacher (2016) and films such as Shotgun Wedding (2022) and Hangdog (2023).
