Biography
Diana Ossana is an American screenwriter, producer and novelist. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she attended Eastern New Mexico University, where she studied English and political science, before working in law until 1992.
She is best known for her long collaboration with author Larry McMurtry. Together they wrote the screenplay for Brokeback Mountain (2005), which won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay along with BAFTA, Writers Guild of America and Golden Globe awards; Ossana also produced the film. Their other credits include the television miniseries Streets of Laredo (1995), Dead Man's Walk (1996) and Comanche Moon (2008), and the film Joe Bell (2020).
