Biography
Diane Fletcher is an English actress. She was born on 17 April 1944 in Derby, Derbyshire, and graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1966.
She is known for playing Elizabeth Urquhart in the BBC series House of Cards (1990) and its sequels To Play the King (1993) and The Final Cut (1995). Other television credits include Agatha Christie's Poirot (1989) as Eloise Renauld, Midsomer Murders (1997) as Marcia Tranter, and appearances in Coronation Street and Endeavour. Her film roles include Lady Macduff in Roman Polanski's Macbeth (1971) and a part in A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001).
Fletcher has an extensive stage career, performing with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal National Theatre, as well as in the West End.
