Biography
Diarra Kilpatrick (born 28 August 1983) is an American actress, writer and producer from Detroit, Michigan. She studied drama at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and began her career with guest roles on series including House (2004), Private Practice (2007) and The Last O.G. (2018).
Kilpatrick created, wrote, produced and starred in the ABC digital series American Koko (2017), which earned her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series. She played Clara Drake in the HBO series Perry Mason (2020–2023) and created, wrote, produced and stars in the BET+ series Diarra from Detroit (2024–). She has an extensive theatre background, with credits including productions at the Los Angeles Theatre Center and awards for stage performances.
