Biography
Dimple Kapadia is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Hindi films. She made her screen debut in the title role of Raj Kapoor’s Bobby (1973) and won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
She married actor Rajesh Khanna in 1973 and retired from acting, returning in the mid-1980s after their separation. Her performance in Saagar (1985) earned a second Filmfare Award for Best Actress. She received the National Film Award for Best Actress and a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for Rudaali (1993), and a further Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for Krantiveer (1994).
Kapadia has continued working in both mainstream and parallel cinema, with later credits including Dil Chahta Hai (2001) and the role of Priya in Christopher Nolan’s Tenet (2020).
