Biography
Dionne Edwards is a British filmmaker and screenwriter of mixed Jamaican and Nigerian heritage. She studied film and television production at the University of Westminster and co-founded the production company Teng Teng Films in 2011.
Edwards is known for her short films, including We Love Moses (2016), which screened at more than fifty festivals and won nine awards, and her debut feature Pretty Red Dress (2023), which premiered at the BFI London Film Festival. In television, she has directed episodes of Everything Now (2023) and three episodes of series two of A Thousand Blows (2026). She was named a Screen International Star of Tomorrow in 2019 and is a Sundance Adobe Fellow.
