Biography
Dirk Wilutzky is a German film producer and director. He was born on 2 February 1965 in Herleshausen, Germany. He studied philosophy and rhetoric at the University of Tübingen and worked as a theatre assistant before moving to Berlin in 1993, where he took production roles on documentaries and television series.
Wilutzky has produced or co-produced several documentaries, including Soul Boy (2010) and Und wir sind nicht die Einzigen (2011). He served as a producer on Citizenfour (2014), directed by Laura Poitras, alongside Mathilde Bonnefoy. The film won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2015, shared with Poitras and Bonnefoy. He is married to editor Mathilde Bonnefoy.
