Biography
Dobrina Cristeva is a Bulgarian-born Mexican actress and dancer. Born Dobrina Liubomirova Stoylova Anguelova on 9 October 1968 in Sofia, she moved to Mexico as a child and began her career as a dancer in 1981 before turning to acting in 1988. She trained at the Núcleo de Estudios Teatrales under Héctor Mendoza and Julio Castillo.
Cristeva is known for her role as Silvia Silva in Alfonso Cuarón's Sólo con tu pareja (1991). Her other screen credits include appearances in Rebelde (2004) as Yolanda 'Yoli' Huber and various telenovelas such as Retrato de familia (1995). She has also worked extensively in theatre and is married to playwright Flavio González Mello.
