Biography
Dominique Chapuis (1948–2001) was a French cinematographer. He began his career in the early 1970s as an assistant camera operator, working on films including Day for Night (1973).
He served as director of photography on Shoah (1985), directed by Claude Lanzmann, as well as on An Impudent Girl (1985), The Little Thief (1988), My Life Is Hell (1991) and Beautiful Memories (2001). He maintained a long collaboration with Lanzmann on several documentaries.
Chapuis was born in Paris and died in Paris.
