Biography
Dominique Collignon-Maurin (also credited as Dominique Maurin or Dominique Collignon) was a French actor. Born in Toulouse on 1 April 1949, he was the son of actress Mado Maurin and composer Georges Collignon, and a member of the acting family known as the 'Petits Maurin'. He began his career as a child, appearing in films such as Rififi (1955) and The American Beauty (1961).
He had roles in Sundays and Cybele (1962), This Special Friendship (1964) and later films including Gandahar (1987). Collignon-Maurin was also a prolific voice actor, providing the French voice of Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy and dubbing numerous Hollywood actors. He voiced a character in the animated film Ernest & Celestine (2012). He died on 4 August 2025.
