Biography
Ma Dong-seok, also known as Don Lee, is a South Korean-American actor and film producer. Born Lee Dong-seok on 1 March 1971 in Seoul, South Korea, he moved to the United States with his family as a teenager and became a US citizen. Before acting, he worked as a personal trainer and trained mixed martial artists including Mark Coleman and Kevin Randleman. He made his film debut in 2004.
He gained recognition for supporting roles in films such as Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time (2012) and The Neighbor (2012). His performance as Sang-hwa in the zombie thriller Train to Busan (2016) brought him international prominence. Subsequent leading roles include The Outlaws (2017) and its sequels in the Roundup series, The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil (2019) and Ashfall (2019).
In 2021 he made his Hollywood debut as Gilgamesh in Eternals. He has also produced several of his films and is known for action roles.
