Biography
Donagh Deeney is an Irish actor whose screen credits include the role of Uncle Peadar in the 2024 film Kneecap. He has appeared in a range of Irish and international productions, among them Intermission (2003) as Danny the Busman, The Last Right (2019) as Uncle Billy, and the television series Game of Thrones (2012) as the Winterfell Shepherd.
Deeney has an extensive stage background and, since 1988, collaborated with Colm Quilligan as a Dublin pub poet, performing tours that combined song and recitation. His television work also includes a long-running role as Eric O'Shea in the Irish soap opera Ros na Rún (2015–2022).
