Biography
Donald Briggs (28 January 1911 – 3 February 1986) was an American actor. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he began his career in radio in the late 1920s and appeared in numerous films and television programmes from the mid-1930s to the mid-1970s.
His film credits include After the Thin Man (1936), Captains Courageous (1937) as Tyler, Show Boat (1936) and Made for Each Other (1939). On television he appeared in series such as The Lucy Show (1962) as Eddie Collins, The Fugitive (1963) as Whit Pearson and Batman (1966) as Irving Irving. He also had an extensive radio career, playing title roles in programmes including The Adventures of Frank Merriwell and Perry Mason.
Briggs was married to actress Audrey Christie.
