Biography
Donald Duncan is a New Zealand cinematographer, also credited as Don Duncan. Born on 12 October 1958, he was raised on a Waikato farm and trained initially in sound before moving into camerawork.
He worked on early 1990s New Zealand productions including the comedy series User Friendly and the feature Jack Be Nimble. Duncan served as director of photography on 77 episodes of the series Xena: Warrior Princess (1995–2000) and later shot features such as Snakeskin (2001), for which he received a New Zealand Film Award for Best Cinematography, The Cheetah Girls: One World (2008) and Kiwi Christmas (2017). He has also contributed to US productions filmed in New Zealand, including Legend of the Seeker (2009–2010).
