Biography
Donny Alamsyah, also credited as Doni Alamsyah or Donny Alamsyah Benjamin, is an Indonesian actor and martial artist. He was born on 7 December 1978 in Jakarta.
Alamsyah began his acting career in 2005 with a role as Jaka in Gie. He gained recognition in Indonesia for 9 Naga (2006) and received a nomination for Best Actor at the Indonesian Film Festival for his performance as Bari in Fiksi. (2008). He is known internationally for portraying Yayan in Merantau (2009) and Andi in The Raid (2011) and The Raid 2 (2014). Other credits include Gundala (2019) as Fadli Aziz, Buffalo Boys (2018) as Young Arana, and V/H/S/94 (2021) as Capt. Hassan.
