Biography
Doreen Lang was a New Zealand-born American character actress. She was born on 15 February 1915 in Gisborne, New Zealand, and studied drama in London. She appeared on Broadway in productions including Noël Coward's Blithe Spirit (1941–1943) as Edith, Make Way for Lucia (1948), I Know My Love (1949), Season in the Sun (1950) and Faithfully Yours (1951).
Lang's first film role was as Ann James in Alfred Hitchcock's The Wrong Man (1956). She later appeared in North by Northwest (1959) and The Birds (1963). Her television work included guest roles in series such as Hawaii Five-O, Kung Fu, The Waltons and CHiPs, as well as episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents and Perry Mason.
She was a naturalised United States citizen and died on 21 April 1999 in Malibu, California.
