Biography

Dorothy Morris, also credited as Dorothy Ruth Morris, was an American actress. Born in Los Angeles on 23 February 1922, she signed with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1941 and appeared in supporting roles in several studio films during the 1940s.

Her credits include Mary Arena in The Human Comedy (1943), roles in Someone to Remember (1943), None Shall Escape (1944), Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo (1944) and Ingeborg Jensen in Our Vines Have Tender Grapes (1945). She married in 1943 and largely retired from acting until the late 1950s, when she returned for television appearances and films such as Macabre (1958) and Seconds (1966). She died in Palm Springs, California, on 20 November 2011. Her sister was dancer Caren Marsh.
