Biography

Dorothy Scott was an American actress and voice performer. She was born on 24 July 1923 in Denver, Colorado, and died on 2 January 2004 in Ventura, California.

She provided the uncredited voice of Giddy the Elephant in the Disney animated film Dumbo (1941). Her other screen credits include the role of a nurse in The Girl in Room 20 (1946), Miss Michael in The Pretender (1947), and the librarian in My Bodyguard (1980). She also voiced characters including Annie Oakley in episodes of The Bullwinkle Show (1959–1963) and appeared in an episode of the television series Barnaby Jones (1975).

In 1943 she married voice actor Bill Scott, known for roles in The Bullwinkle Show and other animated series.
