Biography
Doug Jung is an American screenwriter and producer. He co-wrote the screenplay for the 2016 film Star Trek Beyond with Simon Pegg and also appeared in the film as Ben, the husband of Hikaru Sulu.
Jung's television credits include writing episodes of Banshee (2014), creating and writing for Dark Blue (2009–2010), and contributing stories to Mindhunter (2019). He wrote the screenplay for The Cloverfield Paradox (2018) and earlier wrote the feature Confidence (2003). He has served as showrunner and executive producer on Chief of War (2025) and is attached as showrunner on the upcoming Mass Effect series.
