Biography
Doug McKeon is an American actor who began his career as a child performer in the 1970s. Born on 10 June 1966 in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, he appeared in the daytime soap The Edge of Night and made his feature-film debut in Uncle Joe Shannon (1978), for which he received a Golden Globe nomination for best male motion picture debut.
McKeon is best known for playing Billy Ray in On Golden Pond (1981) opposite Henry Fonda and Katharine Hepburn. His other film roles include Night Crossing (1982) and Mischief (1985). He has worked extensively in television, with appearances in series such as House (2009), Weeds (2012), Masters of Sex (2013) and Shameless (2019), as well as the films LBJ (2017) and I Spit on Your Grave III: Vengeance Is Mine (2015). McKeon has also directed and written films, including The Boys of Sunset Ridge (2001) and Come Away Home (2005).
