Biography
Douglas Blush, also credited as Doug Blush, is an American documentary editor, producer, director and cinematographer. He is co-owner of the Los Angeles-based production company MadPix Films.
Blush edited 20 Feet from Stardom (2013), which won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature and the ACE Eddie Award for Best Edited Documentary – Feature. His other editing credits include The Invisible War (2012), The Hunting Ground (2015), Wordplay (2006) and These Amazing Shadows (2011), on which he also served as writer. He has supervised editing on Console Wars (2020) and edited The Elephant Whisperers (2022).
He has co-directed Of Two Minds (2012) with his wife and frequent collaborator Lisa J. Klein. Blush is the brother of musician Brian Blush, formerly of the band the Refreshments.
